The Tea Party Patriots of North Idaho fully recognizes the potential of our youth to become outstanding citizens and voters. Students and young professionals will be our future leaders, and the “movers and shakers” of America. For this reason, it is imperative that our developing young citizens have a solid understanding of our founding principles, our Constitution, and American exceptionalism. It is critical to identify, recruit, train and mobilize students and young professional who share our values. Our organization believes that this can best be accomplished by reaching out to our high schools, colleges, and universities to spread the message and benefits of freedom and liberty.
It will be the responsibility of this committee to contact students at our area high school, colleges and universities who share our vision statement and to join our organization and/or form alliances or coalitions with existing campus clubs, improve civic literacy, and understand important political issues. It is the hope of our organization that this committee will also collaborate with other state or national youth organizations i.e. the Young Americas Foundation, Collegiate Network, Intercollegiate Studies Institute, the Leadership Institute, Independent Women’s Forum, Center for Study of Popular Culture, Young Americans for Freedom and others. These organizations can be a valuable source of speakers, program events, resources, contacts, internships, and possible funding.
This committee will research and study the best strategies to accomplish its task, prepare summaries of their findings and present their conclusions and action or position recommendations to the Executive Board of the Tea Party Patriots of North Idaho for approval.
