The Tea Party Patriots of North Idaho support the creation of better educational opportunities for all children and young adults. It is our hope to assist and lead parents, policymakers and media by boldly challenging the education establishment to provide better teachers, textbooks, course content and curriculum. We support the charter school movement, school choice, transparency, accountability and better management in our schools. Taxpayers, parents, students and legislators need answers to rising costs and tuition, low test scores and graduation rates, poor comparative student performance and competencies, inadequate student preparation for college, less than optimal workforce knowledge and skills to meet current and projected labor and economic conditions, improve remediation prevention strategies and better character education.
It is the responsibility of this committee to research and study selected issues pertaining to education reform or current and proposed local or state legislation that will impact our education community. The committee will prepare summaries of their findings and present their conclusions and action or position recommendations to the Executive Committee of the Tea Party Patriots of North Idaho for approval.
