Effective communications and marketing are essential to the success of any organization. We will rise or fall on the quality of spreading our freedom and liberty message to the citizens of North Idaho. Support from the community will depend on how we are perceived and how well we meet the needs, wants and desires of the public regarding understanding and preserving our republic. We are in a fierce battle for the hearts and minds of the American people.

It will be the responsibility of this committee to design and prepare all forms of our communications package including, but not limited to, designing, developing, maintaining and improving our web site, designing and developing our logo, stationary, business cards, media advertising, newsletters, and other marketing tools. An important responsibility of this committee will be the planning, designing, promotion, organizing, presenting and funding of all Tea Party public events.

Regarding event planning, this committee should consider the following:

 Who?

Who is our target audience – members of our group, the general public, the media, or some combination? Who is available to help plan and put on the event?

 What?

What is the specific content or kind of event we want to put on? What do you want the event to accomplish for participants? What do we want the event to accomplish for our organization? What is the planned event going to cost? What is our detailed budget for the event? What resources (money, materials, facilities, etc.) do we have to work with?

When?

When is the best time to hold the event so it will be accessible to the most people? Are there any conflicting events, holidays, or other things we need to schedule around? How much lead time do we need to schedule facilities, to get publicity out, arrange for speakers, performers, etc. and acquire necessary materials and services?

Where?

Is the facility or venue selected easy to find and easy to get to for the most people? Is it accessible for people with disabilities? Does it have the equipment and services we need?

Timing

Have we worked out and distributed a time line or Gnatt chart so that everyone understands what has to be done when and how their part fits into the whole?

Publicity

What is the best means of reaching our target audience?

Money

Can we attract co-sponsors for our event? Will cash flow be a problem? Have we established an accurate, affordable and realistic budget for our event?

Follow-up

After the dust settles do we have a system of evaluating what went well, what we should do different next time, or give recognition to those who deserve a job well done?

This committee will prepare summaries of their conclusions and action recommendations to the Executive Committee of the Tea Party Patriots of North Idaho for approval.
